Born and based in Athens, Greece
Marikita Manolopoulou (b. Athens, Greece) is an art designer and sculptor,
working primarily with stainless steel and light.
Stainless steel became Marikita Manolopoulou’s inspiration and a tool for her thoughts. A firm but permeable material which absorbs and reflects the ambiance uniting imagination with life, the art with the reality. She creates large scale sculptures, hammered or cut with laser. Her creations enlightened with neon, fluoride or spots, compromise the grandiose metal mass with the ethereal reflections of light.
Her work can be found in private collections, public areas and hotels. Marikita is currently based in Athens, and works internationally.

Graduated from Scuola Italiana di Atene (Italian School of Athens)
Attended workshops at Mary’s Hatzinikoli - Sarafianou
